Itinerary

7:00 AM – Hotel Pickup in Luxor

Your tour begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel or Nile cruise in Luxor. Meet your professional Egyptologist guide and board a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle for your journey southward along the scenic Nile River.

9:00 AM – Visit to the Temple of Edfu

Arrive at the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Built during the Ptolemaic period, the temple showcases remarkable reliefs and towering pylons. Explore the hypostyle hall, inner sanctuaries, and the stunning carvings that depict the eternal battle between Horus and Seth. Your guide will explain the temple’s religious significance and how it played a central role in ancient Egyptian worship.

11:00 AM – Drive to Kom Ombo

Depart from Edfu and continue your journey to Kom Ombo, enjoying picturesque views of the rural Egyptian landscape along the way. This drive offers a glimpse of traditional village life along the Nile.

12:30 PM – Explore the Temple of Kom Ombo

Arrive at the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, an extraordinary double temple dedicated to two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. The symmetrical design of the temple reflects the dual nature of these gods. Explore the halls, reliefs, and the sacred Nileometer used by the ancients to measure flood levels.
